Mall Walk
The Mall Walking Club meets every Tuesdays and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Westchester in White Plains. It’s a great way to exercise no matter what the weather is outside. Friday Morning Birdwatching Group
Join Croton Point Park Nature Center staff for an all-level family-friendly morning bird walk. We will be learning about bird calls and bird identification on Croton Point Park’s grassland, forest, and shoreline. Newcomers and returners welcome! Bring binoculars (a couple of extra pairs will be available), hiking boots with long socks, and a water bottle. Meeting in front of the Croton Point Nature Center (car accessible) at 8:00 AM.

Every Friday 8:30am Phenology Fridays Phenology is the study of the seasons and how things change. Join a naturalist and/or park volunteer at the overlook deck each Friday as we use our eyes and ears to keep track of the birds, mammals, plants, and more as they make their appearance. No expertise necessary. Feel free to bring binoculars and hiking boots. Meet at the overlook deck just off the far east end parking lot.

Parke County Covered Bridge Festival in Mansfield Village, Raccoon SRA (Cecil M Harden Lake)
The Mansfield Roller Mill will be open to visitors during the ten-day Covered Bridge Festival from 10am-4pm. Parking by the mill is not available due to the streets being closed for foot traffic only. Parking is availale at the village entrances in privately owned paid lots.

Parke County Covered Bridge Festival, Historic Mansfield Roller Mill
If you plan on visiting Parke County during its annual Covered Bridge Festival, make sure to come on down to Mansfield, Indiana and visit our 140+ year old water powered mill. The village of Mansfield is one of several historic villages and towns that take part in this county wide festival. The mill is open daily from 10/9/26to 10/18/26 10am-4pm. Festivities in the village begin around 9am and run until 6pm most days. There is no fee to visit the mill itself, however the rest of the village and its parking lots are privately owned and may have fees to use those facilities.

Solar Bead Bracelets, Clifty Falls State Park
Make a bracelet using beads that will change color when exposed to sunlight. This 30-minute activity will take place in the Nature Center.

The Cove, McCormick's Creek State Park
Friday, October 9th 10 am: The Cove- (Hike) Join Naturalists Jessica at Friendly Shelter to take a morning hike on Trail 1. We will be looking for early seasonal changes in the Nature Preserve on this .5 mile hike.
