Road Trip Planner is a trip-planning app from Waoo Network. Add the places you want to stop and it draws the drive as one route on a map, tells you how long each leg takes, and keeps the packing list, the forecast, the photos and the journal with the trip instead of scattered across a phone.
Planning a trip needs a Waoo Network account, and the same account signs you in to every Waoo Network app.
What you can do with it
Your whole drive on one map
Add the places you want to stop and see the trip as a single driving route, with alternate routes, turn-by-turn steps, and switches for avoiding tolls or highways.
Drive time between every stop
Each leg carries its own distance and driving time, and the timeline groups your stops into days so you can see what a day of the trip actually looks like.
Places along the way
Search near the route for restaurants, gas stations, hotels, rest areas, attractions and shopping, then add anything you find to the trip as a stop.
The forecast for the day you arrive
A stop with a location shows the high, low and precipitation for the date you are due there, worked out from the trip start date and the stop day number.
A packing list per trip
Keep a checklist sorted into clothing, toiletries, electronics, documents, snacks and entertainment, and tick items off as they go in the car.
A journal and photos as you go
Write dated entries against the stop they belong to and attach photos with captions, so the trip still has a record of itself after you get home.
Plan it with other people
On Plus, invite someone by email as a viewer, who can see the trip but not change it, or as an editor, who can add and rearrange stops. Everyone on a trip can comment on it.
