Join us for Roski Talks with Dr. Elizabeth "Dori" Tunstall on November 10 at 12 p.m. at the Roski Graduate Building to discuss "De-Productizing Culture: Human Earth Intelligence and Equitable Exchange."
Dr. Elizabeth “Dori” Tunstall is an award-winning design anthropologist with over 25 years of experience leading institutional transformation across Australia, Canada, and the United States. Dori began her professional career as a high-tech user experience consultant at Sapient and Arc Worldwide before moving back into academia at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Swinburne University, and then, Dean of the Faculty of Design at OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. Dori became the first Black—and Black female—dean of a faculty of design anywhere in the world. In 2023, she returned to the United States to found Dori Tunstall, Inc., working with communities and industries that are wanting to practice liberatory joy through research-informed care. She holds degrees in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College and Stanford University for her PhD.
