ASAP Ink & Watercolors

Join us for a 3-hour Ink and Watercolor Workshop designed for all skill levels. All materials are provided, so just bring your curiosity and creativity! In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to combine pen and ink with watercolor to quickly capture the essence of a scene. We’ll focus on observing, simplifying, and translating what you see into expressive sketches. The skills you gain can be applied to nature journaling, documenting moments on a hike, or recording your favorite places. By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel more comfortable sketching on location and inspired to continue practicing wherever you go! About the Instructor Emily Winkel is the adult watercolor instructor at the Indianapolis Art Center in addition to being a full time working artist. Emily has a BFA in Illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her favorite things to paint include portraits, birds, florals, landscapes, and of course, a Lake Michigan sunset. She focuses on all things that can bring joy and restfulness to her viewer.
