Carve It, Paint It, Compost It!

Join us at the CEW&T House for a creative and educational fall activity! Participants will have the opportunity to carve and decorate mini pumpkins while learning how small seasonal traditions can be made more sustainable. After decorating, we'll dive into the basics of composting and learn what happens to pumpkins and other organic materials after they're thrown away. We'll walk through how to properly prepare pumpkins for composting, what can and cannot go into a compost bin, and how composting helps reduce waste and return nutrients to the soil. All pumpkin decorating supplies and cookies will be provided. No experience or materials are required; just bring yourself and get ready to get creative!Non-IU Registration
