Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, by way of Los Angeles, The Morning Yells are an alt-country band led by siblings Phil and Laura Stancil, formerly of the band Potato Moon, known for heartfelt songwriting, soaring harmonies, and a sound that draws freely from a wide range of genres. Since forming in 2017, they’ve released two LPs, two EPs, and several singles, and have worked with acclaimed engineers and producers including Clay Blair (The War on Drugs, Bjorns), Mark Rains (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Shooter Jennings), and Sara Watkins (Watkins Family Hour, Nickel Creek). Their latest single, “River,” is out now on Blackbird Record Label.
