Sensory-Friendly Santa Meet and Greet
December 5 | 10 am–12 pm
Create a joyful holiday memory in a calmer, more comfortable setting during our Sensory-Friendly Visit with Santa at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
Designed for children with autism or sensory-processing disabilities, this experience invites families with children ages preschool through 12 years old to meet a warm, quieter Santa away from large crowds. Register for a semi-private, 20-minute time slot, with no more than four families scheduled at a time.
Each child will have several relaxed moments to visit with Santa when they feel ready, and younger siblings are welcome to join. While waiting, children can enjoy a low-key activity in the Peter M. Wege Library, including decorating a mini Christmas tree, creating a craft, or reading a book. Staff will be available to help facilitate family turns as needed.
Before or after your visit, extend the outing with time in the DeVos–Keeler Gift Shop, James & Shirley Balk Café, or Welcome Center.
Admission to Meijer Gardens is not included with this event.
