Backyard Birding (all ages)
Migration is done and Minnesota is left with our winter residents. Our of the approximately 240 bird species that nest here in the summer only about 40 call Minnesota all year-round making late fall and winter and excellent time to learn the basics of birding.
Join a naturalist as they explain how to adjust binoculars to your specific eyesight and how to identify birds by their color and size. Binoculars will be provided or bring your own.
A 1-mile walk will be included in the program. Dress for the weather. Path taken will be a mixture of asphalt and mowed grass.
Meet at the visitor center.
