Birding in the Big Woods

Many species of colorful birds call the Big Woods home. Learn the basics of bird identification and test out your new skills on an easy half mile naturalist led hike.

A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow.

This program is free to attend, but a vehicle permit is required for all motor vehicles entering the park. It is $7 for a day or $35 for a 12-month permit. Permits can be purchased online or at the park office.
