Glow Walk Event

Join us for the "Fall Glow Walk Event" at Glacial Lakes State Park. Grab your family or friends for this 1.2-mile self-guided walk starting from the Group Camp. Go at your own pace along the glow stick lit trail where you will find three night and fall themed stations along the way. These stations include a craft, creatures of the night with the area naturalist and even stargazing. Finish back at the shelter for hot apple cider, cookies and a fire.

Participants are encouraged to dress up in glow attire, glowsticks, or other glowing items. Upon arrival to the event, check-in at the table near the shelter where participants will each get a glow stick necklace and each group or family will receive one glow wand.

The trail is uneven and not paved, so sturdy shoes are encouraged. If a flashlight will help you feel comfortable and confident, please bring one, but use a colored light (red, green, etc.) or cover the lens with a colored film to help other participants eyes stay adjusted to the dark conditions.

Come enjoy this beautiful fall walk along a self-guided loop!

This program is free of charge, but a vehicle permit is required to enter the park. $7/day or $35/annual. Come explore the many activities for young and young at heart
