TRAINING | SB 2030: Buildings, Energy and Environment (4 AIA LU/HSW)
Since its inception, the Sustainable Buildings (SB 2030) program has been very successful in providing guidance for energy efficiency in buildings in Minnesota. As we move into 2025-2030, when energy and carbon targets are 90% better than a typical building in 2003, the program is evolving to meet the needs of sustainable development in Minnesota. This event will explore the next phase of the program which will set targets for all buildings to combine energy efficiency at the limits of cost effectiveness with renewable energy supply. Sessions will demonstrate considerations in the relationship between high-performance buildings with renewables and the local utility, Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their experiences, needs, and feedback with fellow participants and B3 and SB 2030 program administrators.  Presentations will conclude at 4:30pm with an optional Happy Hour from 4:30-5:30pm.Registration closes December 16, All sales are final and registration closes on December 16.  SB 2030: Buildings, Energy and EnvironmentAIA LUs: 3.5 AIA LU/HSW credits, course CSBR 2026AGBCI LUs: approved by GBCI for 3.5 CE hour(s)Topics: Programming and Analysis, Project Planning and Design  Learning Objectives:Understand the newly available compliance options for meeting a project's SB 2030 targetIntroduce the pilot program being implemented in Saint Paul, SB 2030 ReInvest Explore the opportunities and challenges of integrating renewable energy and high performance buildings Review the energy and carbon policy landscape including codes, building performance standards, and SB 2030.
