UDT Fall Concert : time signature
Rhythmic | Contemporary | Collaborative | Expansive | Evocative | Transformative  time signature brings together three distinctive choreographic voices in a dynamic concert performed by Dance students and directed by Laura Selle Virtucio. The program features a 30-minute restaging of Bill T. Jones' Story/Time, reimagined by members of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company and Assistant Professor Carlo Antonio Villanueva; a new work by Marjani Forté-Saunders; and new choreography by Professor Ananya Chatterjea.   Inspired by the musical meaning of "time signature"—the rhythm and meter that shape a musical movement—the title also speaks to the distinct imprint each choreographer makes in time. Together, these works create a conversation across generations, artistic practices, and perspectives, brought to life by the individual and collective voices of the performers. Directed by Laura Selle Virtucio, time signature offers an opportunity to experience the breadth of contemporary dance at the University, with student dancers performing the works of nationally and internationally recognized choreographers.
