Walker Dialogue: Ryūsuke Hamaguchi with Andréa Picard
Director Ryūsuke Hamaguchi is joined by Toronto International Film Festival curator Andréa Picard at the Walker Art Center for a deep dive into the filmmaker's explorative play in the space between documentary and fiction, library of literary references, and deep love for cinema. One of the most inventive voices in contemporary film and winner of the 2022 Academy Award for Best International Feature (Drive My Car), Hamaguchi is known for his keen inquisition into the lives and circumstances of his characters.  For ticket information, visit: https://www.walkerart.org/whats-on/walker-dialogue-ryusuke-hamaguchi-with-andrea-picard/ (https://www.walkerart.org/whats-on/walker-dialogue-ryusuke-hamaguchi-with-andrea-picard/)  Copresented by the Department of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and the Mary Griggs Burke Endowment in Asian Studies.
