Young Steinway Concert

Pianist David Goetz, a senior at Loyola Academy, studies piano with Soo Young Lee. He has received numerous gold medals in annual sonata-sonatina festivals sponsored by the Music Teachers Association of Chicago, Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association, and Chicago Area Music Teachers Association, and has performed at Carnegie Hall as a first-place winner in the American Protégé Competition. He is also president of the Loyola Honors Orchestra.

Ruoyi Wu, cellist, is a freshman at Stevenson High School. He studies cello with Hans Jensen and Haddon Kay and plays piano. Ruoyi is the second-place winner in the 2026 Peoria Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition and received honorable mention in the 2026 DePaul National Concerto Competition for Young Performers. He is a recipient of the Richard D. Colburn Scholarship for Artistic Excellence, Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago. Ruoyi also enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and readin
