Free Memory Screening Program
Join us for a free memory screening in this program sponsored by Senator Steve Rhoads, Legislator Rose Marie Walker, and the AFA Barbara Rabinowitz Education & Resource Center.
What are Memory Screenings?
Simple, quick, noninvasive "healthy brain checkups" that test memory and other thinking skills through a brief series of questions and/or tasks. Memory screenings do not diagnose any particular illness but can indicate whether the person should see their physician for additional testing.
Why Should I Be Screened?
Just as we regularly get screenings for other parts of our bodies, it's important to give our brains a checkup too. Early detection of memory issues provides an opportunity for your doctor to identify and address the condition causing the problem.
Appointments are strongly encouraged. Schedule a screening appointment by calling Senator Rhoads' office at (516)882-0630. No minimum age or insurance prerequisites. By registering for this program, you are automatically agreeing to Hicksville Public Library's Program Disclaimer Form.
