Garlic Planting Workshop

Discover the benefits of planting garlic in the fall during this hands-on Heckscher Farm workshop. Participants will learn why this season is the ideal time to plant garlic, help to plant cloves in the farm garden, and explore ways to prepare gardens for the winter season. We’ll discuss cover crops, mulching, and other fall gardening techniques that help maintain healthy soil and support future growth. Each participant will leave with a garlic clove and planting instructions to start growing their own garlic at home!
