Cinema Studies: Wilder Noir
This session has been rescheduled from October 6. Please note the new date and room location.
Billy Wilder was a 21-time Oscar nominee and won the award six times. He made history as the first person to win three for one film, Sunset Boulevard. Learn more about him here.
Our Cinema Studies curriculum continues this fall, meeting on September 22, October 27, and November 10. Each month, Rutgers PhD student and cinema studies scholar Jeff Hughes will lead a lecture and discussion on Billy Wilder. In October, we will focus on the films Double Indemnity, Sunset Boulevard, and The Lost Weekend.
Please note, this is not a film screening; attendees are encouraged to watch the films ahead of time to make the most of the discussion. Copies of the DVDs are available at the front desk.
Registration is required. Please register separately for each lecture you would like to attend during the series.
