Interested in applying for SNAP benefits? Meet with Taina, SNAP Navigator at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, for enrollment assistance.

New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food assistance to low-income families to help them purchase food using a benefits card accepted at most grocery stores and some farmers markets.

Eligibility is determined by several factors, including income and resources: Who is Eligible for SNAP?

To make the application process faster and easier, please bring the following, as applicable:

- Proof of income

- Proof of address

- Proof of rent and utilities

- Proof of childcare or eldercare expenses

- Proof of medical expenses (if you are age 60 or older or have a disability)
