Help make a difference in our community by participating in the Newark Public Library's Thanksgiving Food Donation Drive in partnership with St. James Social Service Corporation.

Donation Dates: October 1 through November 15

Donation Locations:

Main Library

5 Washington Street

Monday, Friday & Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Branch Brook Branch, 235 Clifton Avenue

Vailsburg Branch, 75 Alexander Street

Van Buren Branch, 140 Van Buren Street

Weequahic Branch, 355 Osborne Terrace

North End Branch, 722 Summer Avenue

Branch donation hours:

Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Wednesday: 1:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Saturday: 11:00 AM - 2:45 PM

Requested food items include:

Stuffing, cornbread, and cake mix

Canned yams, green beans, and cranberry sauce

Instant potatoes

Boxed macaroni and cheese

Packaged rice

While these items have been specifically requested, we will gladly accept other non-perishable food donations.

Important: All donated items will be distributed through St. James Social Service Corporation to support individuals and families in need throughout our community.
