UNIQUE "TIME" FOR MUSIC
Discover How Music Brings Time to Life
Show for Neurodiverse Audiences
Saturday, October 24
Bronxville, NY & Stamford, CT — How do musicians make us feel like music is racing ahead, gently rocking, or standing perfectly still? Concordia Conservatory and Orchestra Lumos invite audiences to discover the answer in "Time" for Music, the opening performance of the 2026–27 UNIQUE Series.
Designed especially for neurodiverse individuals of all ages, their families, and caregivers, this engaging, sensory-friendly performance explores how rhythm, tempo, pulse, and movement shape every piece of music we hear. Through interactive activities, audience participation, and live performance, participants will discover how musicians use time to tell stories, express emotions, and inspire movement.
PERFORMANCES ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 WILL TAKE PLACE AT 2:00 pm – Concordia Conservatory Stamford \(884 Newfield Ave\)
Created and hosted by Artistic Director Rami Vamos, the UNIQUE Series encourages audiences to participate in ways that feel comfortable for them. Singing, moving, listening, and exploring are all part of the experience in a welcoming environment where every response is valued. Rami is joined by a string quartet featuring Stephanie Liu and Emily Kalish, violins; Owen Graham, cello; Nurit Pacht, viola.
"Music exists in time," said Rami Vamos. "Whether it's a heartbeat, a march, or a lullaby, rhythm helps us understand the world around us. This program invites audiences to experience time not as something measured by clocks, but as something we can hear, feel, and share together."
Tickets are $7 for children/seniors and $14 for adults, to purchase visit www.concordiaconservatory.org or call 914-395-4507
