FRI 12/11 at Lucky Dog Beacon, NY. Hear some gritty, funky, nasty delta blues colliding with R&B at this classic Beacon NY venue. #TheDirtWhisperers #ElectricBlues #JukeJoint #DeltaBlues #BluesGroove #LiveMusic #Pencilina #RhythmAndBlues Eric Simons (guitar/vocals) and Bradford Reed (pencilina/drums/vocals) bring a fresh, gritty energy to the blues and soul scene. Eric, a Kansas delivers flavors of rock, soul, country, gospel, and Delta blues. He most recently performed with Revel In Dimes. Bradford, a New Yorker, created the Pencilina—a ten-string electric fusion of hammer dulcimer, slide guitar, koto, and fretless bass which he plays simultaneously with the drums. He's rocked with King Missile III, The Blue Man Group, and scored Superjail! and Ugly Americans. The Dirt Whisperers’ sound is rooted in traditional blues and classic soul, spiced with gospel, Americana and psych rock. Their music promises melodies that hook you and beats that make you move.
