The Cafe Society

Combining their album release tour with a bit of holiday cheer, The Café Society is thrilled to make their debut at Jazz On Main. Their latest album, "Blame It On My Youth," showcases the group’s craft & scholarship as much as its charm. The recordings were captured in live takes featuring musicians with deep lineage, and mixed/mastered by 4x Grammy winner Dave Darlington (Wayne Shorter, Samara Joy, Herbie Hancock). Recent press heralds their interpretations of the Great American Songbook as "captivating," "classy," "ravishing," "magnetic," "elegant," and "heartfelt," and All About Jazz has highlighted each new release as a "Song of the Day." Their sets at Jazz on Main will feature songs from their recent album release, as well as some of the group's new holiday arrangements to kick off the season. In the 1940s, there was one integrated jazz club in New York City where all the greats played: Café Society in the West Village. Today, The Café Society is a group of jazz musicians in Brooklyn, NY, led by saxophonist Justin Flynn and vocalist Emily Wade Adams. Together with some of the city's most sought-after musicians, they deliver soulful, classic jazz standards without any pretense. Venues/Clients include E&J Gallo Wines, Feinstein's/54 Below, The Roxy Hotel, The Green Building, Liquor.com, Winnie's Jazz Bar at the Refinery Hotel, Bowery Hotel, The Parlour at the Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel, The Core Club Vocals / Emily Wade Adams Sax / Justin Flynn
