Fort Greene Park Bat Walk

Join us for an evening exploring the fascinating world of New York City's bats! We’ll begin with a brief presentation introducing the basics of bat biology, ecology, and echolocation, including how scientists use ultrasonic detectors to listen to and identify bats. Then we’ll head into Fort Greene Park for a guided bat walk, using acoustic monitoring equipment to hear bats in real time and learn about the species that call Fort Greene home.

Please register and the exact meeting location will be sent in an email the week of the event.

Sponsored by the Gotham Bat Conservancy, Fort Greene Park Conservancy, and NYC Parks.
