Welcome to Fleet Street, where revenge is served razor-sharp. Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a towering achievement of musical theater—a deliciously dark fusion of soaring music, wicked humor, gothic suspense, and devastating tragedy. When a wrongfully imprisoned barber returns to London seeking vengeance, an unlikely partnership with the resourceful Mrs. Lovett sets in motion a chilling tale of obsession, corruption, and some very suspicious meat pies. Featuring one of Sondheim’s most extraordinary scores and brought to life by an exceptional company of student performers, musicians, designers, and technicians, Sweeney Todd is a theatrical event as thrilling as it is unforgettable.

This event is sponsored by the College of Humanities and the Arts Artistic Excellence Programming Grant.
