Future of Intelligence Convening
A new SJSU series designed to bring leading thinkers together for focused, forward-looking conversations about critical questions shaping our world. Our first convening centers on a foundational inquiry: as AI becomes increasingly ubiquitous, what do we mean by intelligence—and how is it being reshaped in contemporary life? Dr. Carrie Holmberg and Dr. Brent Duckor, co-authors of AI and Deeper Learning: Promises, Paradoxes, and Evolving Practices (Harvard Education Press, 2026), together with Dr. Owen Matson, author of Re-Cognizing Cognition in Education After AI (Springer, 2026), will be co-convening a session focused on emerging questions AI raises for learning, cognition, and educational practice. The event will run from 9:30 a.m.- 5:00 pm. We still have a few spots remaining, so please register to reserve your spot as soon as possible if you are interested in participating. Registration will close when all spots are filled.
