Sugarloaf New Volunteer Orientation

When you join Sugarloaf's 200+ member volunteer community, you gain access to a whole new appreciation for your local State Park. Make meaningful connections with fellow volunteers, learn new skills, enjoy time outdoors in a beautiful setting, and play an integral role in keeping Sugarloaf Ridge State Park open and accessible for everyone.

Join us at our next volunteer orientation Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm to learn what it takes to steward a state park! We'll cover the history of Sugarloaf, how Sonoma Ecology Center operates the park, and the various volunteer opportunities available. Beyond the mandatory initial orientation, trainings and docent enrichment activities will take place periodically, depending on your interests and role.
