Rocky Horror Picture Show at Sebastiani Theater – Second Annual Screening and Costume Contest, Now with Full Shadow Cast

Don’t dream it. Be it!

Sonoma Valley Pride is bringing The Rocky Horror Picture Show back to the historic Sebastiani Theatre for our second annual screening and costume contest — and this year, we’re taking it to a whole new level.

For the first time, Rocky comes to life with a full shadow cast performed by San Francisco’s Bawdy Caste!

Watch the cult classic on the big screen while a live cast performs along with the film right in front of you. Expect outrageous audience participation, props for throwing, ridiculous costumes, plenty of callbacks, and a costume contest celebrating your very best Rocky Horror looks.

Whether you’ve been doing the Time Warp for decades or this is your first trip to Frankenstein Place, come ready for a night of camp, chaos, community, and absolute fun.

All proceeds benefit Sonoma Valley Pride!

Schedule

6:30 PM — Doors Open

Come early, grab your seat, show off your look, and get ready for the night.

7:00 PM — Pre-Show & Costume Contest

We’ll kick things off with our costume contest, pre-show festivities, and all the preparation you need before the madness begins.

7:40 PM — The Rocky Horror Picture Show + Live Shadow Cast

The film begins with SF’s Bawdy Caste performing live alongside the movie.

Guests are highly encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Rocky Horror character — or simply embrace the spirit of the night and wear something fabulous, outrageous, strange, glamorous, or completely over the top.

Prizes will be awarded to some of our favorite looks of the evening.

And yes — audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Remembering a Legend

This year’s screening will be especially bittersweet following the passing of Tim Curry, whose unforgettable portrayal of Dr. Frank-N-Furter helped make The Rocky Horror Picture Show the cultural phenomenon it is today.

For generations, Rocky Horror has permitted people to be louder, stranger, freer, more theatrical, and more unapologetically themselves.

This October, we’ll gather together to celebrate Tim Curry, the character he made iconic, and the enduring spirit of individuality, freedom, and queer joy that continues to make Rocky Horror so meaningful.

So grab your fishnets, warm up your Time Warp, gather your friends, and join Sonoma Valley Pride for one unforgettable night at the Sebastiani Theatre.

SF's Bawdy Caste

The Bawdy Caste is San Francisco’s legendary Rocky Horror shadow cast, bringing glitter, fishnets, irreverence, and unapologetic camp to stages across the Bay Area and beyond for three decades.

More than a performance troupe, The Bawdy Caste celebrates individuality, acceptance, and community. Their stage is a space where people can be loud, strange, expressive, and fully themselves — creating an inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to feel seen, welcomed, and part of the fun.
