Art Beat Poetry Hour

Spoken word artists wishing to share their original poetry on the radio are welcome to join in a live studio broadcast on the 4th Thursday of the month. Poets take turns at the mic open mic style for an hour long poetry show.

The public can listen to the broadcast on OZCAT 89.5FM KZCT, or stream online. Hosted by DJ LaLa, poets have been sharing their work live on air since 2018.

Poets should arrive 15 minutes early. The venue, located in a historic Victorian home, is only accessible via stairs. Please contact Benicia Poet Laureate Emeritus Tom Stanton at [email protected] for the possibility of submitting an .mp3 in lieu of in person performance.
