**Safe at Scale: The Must-Attend Regional Wildfire Safety Event**

Thursday, October 29, 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The Historic Orinda Theatre | Free parking | One block from Orinda BART

As our weather gets hotter and drier and the risk of wildfire increases, residents throughout the Bay Area have questions: “What is the science behind the vegetation clearing work that I am being asked to do?”, “Won’t the fire department save my house?” and “What is the state doing to help us?”

**Join the City of Orinda for Safe at Scale to discuss these important questions and what we have learned from the LA wildfires that can help us all.**

Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, Senator Tim Grayson, Steve Hawks of the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS), Moraga-Orinda Fire District Chief Jeff Isaacs, and Trip Jennings, Weathered Director will be our guests for an evening of forward-looking conversation about how we can keep our region safe from wildfire.

We will also watch the award-winning PBS film *Weathered: After the LA Firestorm.*

This event will examine wildfire resilience at a regional scale, helping residents across the Bay Area understand how to make their homes safer from wildfire and what the state is doing to assist.

**Reserve your seat now! Tickets are $10 for the Weathered Screening. The expert panel is open to all at the theater or via zoom at** https://www.tinyurl.com/OrindaCityCouncil.
