
2026 Changemaker Speaker Series
The Blackhawk Museum's 2026 Changemaker Speaker Series brings four National Geographic explorers, photographers, and filmmakers to Danville for four Thursday evening presentations.
September 17 | Dr. Paul Sereno, Astonishing Dinosaurs. The paleontologist known as the "Indiana Jones of Paleontology" on a Sahara expedition that uncovered 55 tons of fossils.
October 8 | Stephen Wilkes, America at 250. Five decades photographing America for National Geographic, TIME, and Vanity Fair.
October 29 | Casey Anderson, Among Wild Predators. The Emmy-nominated filmmaker who adopted an orphaned grizzly bear, on grizzlies, mountain lions, and tigers.
November 19 | David McLain, The Blue Zones. Two decades documenting the rare communities where people routinely live past 100.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. Presentations begin at 7:00 PM, with a meet-and-greet following each show.
Season package (all four shows for the price of three): $75 Museum Members, $120 general admission. Offer ends after the September 17 show. Individual tickets: $25 Museum Members, $40 general admission.
