Nov. 14 Gala: Helping Chronically Ill Pets & Their Families

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, Diesel’s FootPrint, dieselsfootprint.org, will host its inaugural Wags & Wishes benefit at The Woman’s Club of Palo Alto. The evening will bring together members of the veterinary, business, philanthropic, and animal welfare communities to help make chronic care possible for more pets and their families. The organization provides support in three important areas: Financial assistance for ongoing veterinary treatment, cooperative-care training to help pets experience necessary medical care with less fear and stress and therapist-led support groups for people managing the emotional and practical demands of long-term caregiving.

Guests will enjoy a seated dinner paired with local wines, a thoughtfully curated silent auction, and conversations with leading veterinary and animal behavior professionals. Featured speakers include veterinary specialist Dr. David Bruyette, veterinary orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sherman Canapp, veterinarian and behavior specialist Dr. Sophie Liu, and dog trainer and behavior consultant Denise Fenzi. Award-winning mentalist Heather Rogers will serve as emcee.
