The Day The Internet Died

What happens when a screen-obsessed society suddenly loses all access to the internet? That terrifying scenario is explored in “The Day the Internet Died,” the fall theater production from North Star Academy \(a public school in the Redwood City School District\). The satirical show by Ian McWethy and Jason Pizzarello is a humorous reflection on tech dependence and the true meaning of connection, from influencers trying to generate “likes” in real life to trolls without online identities to hide behind, brought to the stage by local elementary and middle schoolers. Catch the show Nov. 6-8 at McKinley Auditorium, 400 Duane St., Redwood City. Go to NSAplay.org.
