Chase Austin: 1up Retro Electro Takeover

Progressive House, Electro House and House Music, mixed with video game theme music - FREE ADMISSION

After picking up his first instrument at the age of 9, Chase Austin knew that he wanted to be a musician. He grew to appreciate the influences of rock, pop, metal and jazz as he learned to play various instruments such as the guitar, piano, drums, trumpet and more, which led him to develop his own style.

Coming from a diverse musical background, Chase isn’t afraid to push boundaries as a producer, only to give a unique musical experience. Chase embraces his ADHD, which hows through his music in his latest release, Universe Unfold, giving off a very high, off the wall energy. The producer challenges his listener to consider the abstract insanity of his medium and to open up their mind to many possibilities. His general music writing consist of “glitchy melodies” with an aggressive, progressive house style, but Chase considers his work to be categorized as “Thrash House.”

Gaining inspiration from other major artists such as Daft Punk and The Dillinger Escape Plan, Chase also likes to mix real life sounds with electronic music. The Sacramento-based producer gives you sense of a Electro House-Punk vibe with a hint of Trance in his music while breaking beats and live mixing on the turntables, bringing a unique taste to the music scene.
