New Century Dance/US Chinese Dance Association Saturday, November 7 at 7:30pm Sunday, November 8 at 3:00pm Nutcracker in China – Year of the Horse – presents a captivating story told through a blend of ballet and Chinese dance. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, a young girl named Jasmine dreams of the legendary woman warrior Hua Mulan, the beloved characters of the classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber , and the exquisite imagery of Tang Dynasty statuary and paintings from the famous Buddhist caves of Dunhuang. This performance is 2 hours, including one 15 minute intermission.
