Marriage Rituals Reflect • Reconnect • Rekindle™ Couples Experience

**Marriage Rituals™ Founding Couples Experience brings 24 married couples to Cupertino November 7–8 for an intentional overnight experience built around meaningful conversation, shared memories and connection**

**CUPERTINO, Calif. — August 26, 2026 —** Married couples can spend an entire week talking about work, children, appointments, bills, errands and everything that needs to get done—without ever really talking about *us*.

A new Bay Area couples experience wants to change that.

On **November 7–8, 2026**, author and entrepreneur **Cordell Davenport**, creator of **Marriage Rituals™**, will host the inaugural **Marriage Rituals™ Founding Couples Experience** at Hyatt House San Jose/Cupertino. The intimate overnight experience is limited to just **24 married couples** and is built around a simple belief:

**Great marriages don't happen accidentally. They happen intentionally.**

“You can have a good marriage, love each other deeply, and still get so busy doing life that you forget to slow down and enjoy each other,” Davenport said. “Marriage Rituals™ isn't about fixing something that's broken. It's about intentionally investing in something that's valuable.”

**Not a Marriage Conference—A Guided Experience**

Rather than spending the evening listening to hours of presentations about how marriage should work, participating husbands and wives will be guided through a series of experiences built around Davenport's **Reflect • Reconnect • Rekindle™** framework.

Davenport will open each portion of the evening with stories, thoughts and conversation before presenting couples with meaningful questions designed to help them think about their relationship.

Each spouse will receive a notebook and privately write responses to the questions presented throughout the evening. Couples will also receive the collection of questions so they can revisit them after the experience.

Later, husbands and wives can exchange notebooks and privately read what their spouse wrote—creating opportunities for conversations that often get crowded out by everyday life.

“There are no right answers, and nobody is going to be asked to stand up and share personal details about their marriage with a room full of people,” Davenport said. “My job is to create the atmosphere, introduce the ideas and provide the questions. Then the focus shifts from me to the two of them.”

The questions move couples through three themes.

**Reflect** invites them to look back at the story they have already created together—the memories, experiences, challenges, victories and moments that shaped their marriage.

**Reconnect** encourages husbands and wives to become curious about the person sitting beside them today, creating opportunities for appreciation, understanding and meaningful conversation.

**Rekindle** turns their attention toward the future—the places they still want to go, memories they want to create, traditions they want to begin and experiences they hope to share.

“The most important conversation in the room won't be the one coming from the front of the room,” Davenport said. “It will be the conversation happening between a husband and wife.”

**An Intentional Overnight Away**

The Marriage Rituals™ Founding Couples Experience is designed as more than a workshop. Couples are invited to step away from their normal routines and enjoy an intentional overnight experience together.

The November 7–8 package includes **dinner for two, the guided Marriage Rituals™ experience, an overnight guestroom at Hyatt House San Jose/Cupertino, and breakfast the following morning**.

The inaugural experience is intentionally limited to **24 married couples**, allowing the evening to remain personal and intimate.

Davenport says the concept grew from his belief that marriage is often strengthened not through occasional grand gestures, but through small actions repeated intentionally over time.

Morning coffee together. An evening walk. A regular date night. A meaningful question over dinner. An anniversary tradition. A weekend getaway. Watching a sunset together.

Those seemingly ordinary moments can eventually become something much bigger.

**“Moments become rituals. Rituals become traditions. Traditions create memories. And memories become your story.”**

**Healthy Marriages Deserve Attention, Too**

Davenport believes much of the conversation surrounding marriage focuses on what couples should do when something has gone wrong. Marriage Rituals™ starts from a different place.

A marriage doesn't have to be struggling before a couple decides to invest in it.

“This isn't therapy or marriage counseling,” Davenport said. “You don't have to wait until there's a problem to make your marriage a priority. Sometimes it's simply about putting down everything else for a little while, looking at the person you chose to do life with and remembering why the two of you matter.”

His hope for the inaugural experience is simple.

“I don't want couples leaving the next morning talking about the presentation,” Davenport said. “I want them talking about each other. I want someone to look at their spouse and think, *I'm really glad I married you.*”

The **Marriage Rituals™ Founding Couples Experience** takes place **November 7–8, 2026, at Hyatt House San Jose/Cupertino** and is limited to **24 married couples**.
