Featured Artist at Gallery 9: Naomi Mindelzun – Recent Works
**Gallery 9** is proud to present recent works of acclaimed artist **Naomi Mindelzun**. This poetic description of the upcoming Art Show gives a glimpse of what to expect in October:
“Water, marsh, reed, cataract and sunset, dawn’s light and sundown, the ochre of twilight, the trace of gull-flight, the warp of currents, of ice, of cloud. The place where mist meets mountain and the shore dissolves, where the sand dunes melt, where the waves break and flatten, and lost ships slip through channels in the sea.
A tree in winter, the sky at dawn.
What is the place for art in a world of increasing ecological fragility? As time passes, this question becomes more urgent. But art can help us see what we are blind to, love more what we already hold. My work seeks to be part of a new orientation, one that situates us, humbly, in the midst of the great natural phenomena that surround us all.
In keeping with my debt to the natural world, most proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to environmental causes” - Naomi Mindelzun
Join us for the **Opening Reception** on First Friday, **October 2nd**, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to meet the artist, enjoy refreshments and show your support to the nature that surrounds us.
**Opening Reception:** First Friday, **October 2th, 5 – 8 pm**
