BLOND IN CAR

When former film producer Robin Schorr aka Blond in Car wrote "My High Gummygirl," a dreampop love song about her stoner daughter, everything changed. The video of her playing the song on Omnichord (a beloved 80’s Japanese toy synth) on an ironing board in her kitchen became a viral hit on TikTok and Instagram. Suddenly, this funny, unique portrait of mother-daughter unconditional love turned Blond in Car into your favorite songwriters’ favorite songwriter. Robin’s weekly Omnichord covers of pop songs have brought her a huge devoted eco-system on social media - her combined 750K+ highly engaged followers include everyone from SZA to Rosalía to Aurora and Marina, with recent reposts from Conan Grey, Lily Allen, Lola Young, Addison Rae, Epitaph Records and Stereogum. Now Robin keeps getting invited to tour with her music idols, from award-winning Irish diva CMAT and rising stars The Two Lips to neo-folk fave slimdan as well as guest appearances at shows by Beach Bunny and Wallice. With 2026 and the release of her upcoming LP GLIDER, which was produced by Indie icon Jay Som and includes the viral single, Bad Dad, featuring Missy Dabice of Mannequin Pussy. The album, which will come out in November 2026 features other artists including Jay Som, BEL, Liam Benzvi and Christie Simpson of Yumi Zouma.

Blond in Car is showing the world a new way to be a fun, joyous, aspirational grown-up who makes majestic, blissfully poignant, retro modern pop classics.
