About the performers:
Headliner
Girl Swallows Nightingale is the mythic art pop universe created by multidisciplinary artist and producer Marica Petrey from Oakland, CA. Her live performance delivers a big cinematic sound, otherworldly vocals, and lyrically explores the realms of science fiction, fantasy, and folklore. GSN is nearing completion of her second LP and her newest single 炎 “Honō” is featured as the credits song in the upcoming movie release, "Owl," (2025). GSN has headlined a number of shows up and down the West Coast, and recently debuted her solo set in Tokyo, Japan.
Support
Sand Ghost is a shapeshifting instrumental ensemble that journeys out of experimental ambient spaces into deep psychedelic grooves. With Cassandra Firmin’s commanding sense of rhythm, Melissa Mohlenhoff’s driving basslines and Nora Free’s enchanting improvisation on saxophone, the collective channels a desert entity that possesses resilience and adaptability in the face of creeping fascism. This special Sand Ghost experience welcomes additional support from Marceline Keene on guitar. Witness the Sand Ghost for a night of original works that prophesize their debut album.
