AI Skills Lab

The AI Skills Lab is an eight-week program open to students at all five Claremont Colleges, meeting Monday evenings from October 5, 2026. Bring a laptop. By the last session, you can work with these models at a high level, and you have built a tool of your own and put it on the internet where other people can use it.

The AI Skills Lab will be led by Ludovico Cordara, a CMC sophomore studying government and philosophy. He founded Krypton AI, a micro-cap consulting and investor relations platform, as a freshman. Afore Capital and angel investors from Capital Group, Anthropic, Amazon, and several hedge funds back it. He works as a vice president for five public companies with a combined market capitalization above $1 billion.

Ludo has spent the past few months teaching students around campus how to build, one at a time and usually over dinner, and started the Lab to do it at a scale that reaches everyone who wants it. Things he's built this way, most in a single evening, include:

Free textbook scraper: because why pay hundreds of dollars for books?5C dining hall scraper: texts you what is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner across all five campuses, because the 5C menu app is often a challenge.Google Apps Script email generator: because nobody wants to send a hundred emails by hand.Token usage tracker: because these companies charge you for absolutely no reason.Alumni scraper: pulls every Claremont alum sitting at a target firm and runs his recruiting outreach for him.The AI Skills Lab is taught with hands-on keyboards.

That stopped being true about two years ago, and almost nobody has been told. No company, no idea, no computer science background, no barrier to entry.
