Gender and Security

Shawn Skelly, former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, retired U.S. Navy officer, and member of the board of directors of the Human Rights Campaign, will share an appreciation of her life's and career's experience at the intersection of two of toda y's most intractable issues, gender and security; having come of age i n a Cold War world, rising to help to lead one of the largest and most visible enterprises in America, and now a part of the national struggle for LGBTQ\+ civil rights.
