16th Annual Southern California Eukaryotic Pathogen Symposium
The Annual Southern California Eukaryotic Pathogen \(SCEP\) Symposium brings together researchers from more than 15 different labs from Southern California that investigate the inner workings and host response to these important pathogens. It is the aim of this symposium to bring together these like-minded but individual groups to facilitate interaction and collaboration.
Welcome to the annual SCEP symposium! In the morning, we will open sensory behaviors in parasitic nematodes with speaker, Elissa Hallem, PhD., Professor, Microbiology Immunology & Molecular Genetics, University of California, Los Angeles. Presentation title: TBD
In the afternoon we will cover human pathogen Toxoplasma gondii with keynote speaker, Jon P. Boyle, PhD., Professor, Department of Biological S ciences, Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pittsburgh. Presentation title: TBD
Both of these researchers have been huge supporters of SCEP from the outset sending students and colleagues who come back to join us year after year. It is an exciting opportunity to hear their latest research and celebrate their involvement in our community.
