A Conversation with Carlos Tortolero

Dean of University Libraries, Fred Barnhart, will engage Carlos Tortolero in conversation about how the National Museum of Mexican Art was developed and his vision for interpreting ancient cultures, like the Olmec, as a living inheritance and thinking about who gets to tell the story of a culture. Whether you are interested in museum studies, anthropology, history, education, Latinx studies, community engagement, or the arts, both events offer a unique opportunity to learn from one of the nation's most influential cultural leaders.

Questions for Carlos Tortolero can be sent to Fred Barnhart at [email protected], in advance of the event.
