NDSU Professional Development Hub Fall 2026
It is never too early to plan your career path. It can be too late.
The Fall 2026 Professional Development Hub cohort will have five groups.
Each group is limited to 8 participants.
The full program has eight sessions.
Each session is one hour, and pre-session work will require 15-45 minutes.
Groups
The groups will meet in the Grad Hub \(Library Room 6\). There is no online option.
Accepted applicants are expected to attend all eight sessions.
First Half of Semester
Thursdays, 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., First session August 27, 2026
Fridays, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., First Session August 28, 2026

Second Half of Semester

Self-assessments and Individual Development Plan tools
Session 2 - Career Match Discussion
Preliminary career exploration
Session 3 - Landscape of Careers
Increase of awareness for career paths
Session 4 - Generative A.I. in Career Exploration
Examination of tradeoffs when utilizing new tools
Session 5 - LinkedIn Level-Up
Leverage a network tool through a profile to access the "hidden job market"
Session 6 - Resume Crafting
Specifications for a document to conveys your professional identity
Session 7 - Initial Screening Interviewing
Conversation with a purpose to activate application materials demonstrating "fit"
Session 8 - Finalize Career Guide Plan
Prepare for exploration and growth after the program
Application
Advisor permission is required and verified.
Applications are processed on a rolling basis, meaning the application closes either once all spots are claimed or 21 August 2026 12:00 p.m.
