Beyond the Diamond: An Evening with Mike Claiborne and Bob Kendrick

Spend an evening with acclaimed St. Louis journalist and broadcaster Mike Claiborne and Bob Kendrick, president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, as they explore how Black baseball changed the game and helped change America. Drawing on the rich histories of St. Louis and Kansas City, this dynamic live conversation moves beyond nostalgia to examine how Negro League teams built thriving Black institutions amid segregation—and how figures like Jackie Robinson helped transform the nation. More than a conversation about baseball, this program invites audiences to see baseball not just as a game, but also as a powerful lens on justice, resilience, and legacy. Visit mohistory.org to purchase tickets \($20 per person, $15 for MHS members\). Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the program for first-come, first-served seating. This program is presented in collaboration with The Boule and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
