The Preservation of Jazz Presents Monday Night Music Series: Tributes 2026

Detroit, MI — The Preservation of Jazz proudly announces its 2026 Monday Night Music Series: Tributes, a weekly cultural experience honoring the legendary artists whose voices, stories, and artistry shaped jazz and American music. Held at Aretha’s Jazz Café in the Music Hall, this celebrated series brings audiences together every Monday night for an immersive evening of live music, history, and community. Each tribute is hosted by Mike Bonner and produced and opened by Sky Covington, founder of The Preservation of Jazz. Doors open promptly at 6:00 PM, welcoming guests to fellowship and shop with on-site vendors. Prior to each performance, audiences are invited to enjoy a short documentary highlighting the life, legacy, and cultural impact of the featured artist.

The live tribute performance begins at 7:00 PM, typically concluding 9:00 PM, with select evenings extending as the experience unfolds. Following each show, guests are encouraged to stay for photos and artist meet-and-greets, offering an intimate connection between performers and the community.
