History on Tap: Cryptids & Curious Creatures

Every community has its legends. In Ohio, some of the most enduring involve mysterious creatures said to roam our forests, waterways, and quiet back roads. Join us for History on Tap: Cryptids & Curious Creatures and spend an evening exploring the folklore, history, and strange stories behind Ohio’s most famous mysterious creatures—from the Grassman and Lake Erie Monster to the Loveland Frogman, Mothman, and more. We’ll dig into the history behind these legends and explore what they can tell us about the communities that created and carried them forward. But this isn’t just a day of sitting and listening—there will be things to do, people to meet and chat with, local experts to connect with, and plenty of opportunities to explore Ohio’s weirdest stories together. Come curious. Come skeptical. Come ready to tell us what you think.
