Brink Brewing Co's Annual Chili Cookoff

Brink Brewing Co.’s Annual Chili Cookoff returns Saturday, October 24 for one of our favorite fall traditions — an afternoon of homemade chili, craft beer, friendly competition and live music in the heart of College Hill.

The chili starts flowing at 2 p.m., and tasting is FREE while supplies last. Local home cooks will bring their best recipes to compete for bragging rights and prizes in categories including Red Chili, Cincinnati Chili and Specialty Chili.

A panel of judges will select the category winners, but everyone gets a say in the biggest prize of the day. Guests can sample the entries and cast a vote for the People’s Choice Best in Show. Winners will be announced at approximately 6 p.m.

Brink will also be getting into the spirit with specialty chili-inspired beer variants on draft throughout the day. There will be door prizes and giveaways during the event, so stick around between bowls and beers.

Once the chili competition wraps up, the party keeps going. Led Petty takes over the taproom from 6:30–9:30 p.m. with live music to finish out the night.

The Chili Cookoff is free to attend and chili tasting is free while it lasts. Brink’s full lineup of locally brewed beer will be available for purchase throughout the event.

Think your chili has what it takes? Entry is also FREE. Contestants receive two Brink drink tickets just for entering. Chili must be homemade and brought to the brewery in a crockpot between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the day of the event.

Come hungry, grab a beer, sample some chili and help crown this year’s People’s Choice champion.
