Stories in Motion: Music and Movement Around the World (Milton R. Abrahams Branch)
Stories in Motion with Circle Theatre turns storytime into a joyful, global adventure! Through music, movement, and hands-on play, toddlers and caregivers will explore folktales from Europe using folk dances, songs, rhythm games, and playful storytelling featuring "The Bremen-Town Musicians" by Hans Wilhelm. Check out the book: https://omaha.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S240C446624 Each session invites children to dance, clap, count, and move—building language skills, pattern recognition, and fine and gross motor skills while discovering cultures from around the world. Inclusive, energetic, and imagination-filled, Stories in Motion brings stories off the page and into the body! Storytime focuses on early literacy skills through simple songs, dance, play, and short stories designed for active toddlers and their participating caregiver\(s\). Recommended for children 3-5 years, though children of all ages are welcome. Parents/caregivers must remain with their child\(ren\) for the duration of the program and are encouraged to help younger children with the activity. Childcare groups and other groups larger than 10, please call in advance.
