Sevier Station: A Land Between Two Worlds
Sevier Station: A Land Between Two Worlds
November 14 | 11am-2pm | All Ages | Free | Sevier Station
Step into the earliest chapters of Clarksville’s history during A Land Between Two Worlds at Sevier Station, Montgomery County’s oldest standing structure.
This annual commemoration reflects on the November 1794 attack on the Sevier family homestead, a tragic event that claimed six lives and left a lasting impact on the region. Led by historical interpreter Roxanne Jenkins, the program will include a solemn ceremony and living history demonstrations.
Guests will learn about the Sevier family’s experience while also exploring the broader story of the frontier, including the displacement of Indigenous communities, the loss of ancestral lands, and the conflict that followed the arrival of settlers.
Join us as we remember the people connected to this history and preserve the stories that helped shape Montgomery County.
