Join us for a walking tour of Chicago’s Cultural Mile, inspired by Living Landmarks of Chicago by Theresa L. Goodrich, historic photographs, and other materials from the Chicago Collection at Harold Washington Library Center. The tour will be led by librarians from the Social Science and History Department.

Starting at Harold Washington Library Center, we will walk about one mile along Michigan Avenue and stop at several of Chicago’s cultural landmarks. Along the way, we will look beyond the buildings themselves and discover the stories that made them part of Chicago history.
